With its green rolling land, ist many barrages and attractive destinations, the Sauerland is a recreation area which is much in demand. On its numerous footpaths you can experience pure nature and restore body and soul. Seeing the various places of interest of the area, a visit to the magnificent stalactine caverns, touring the beautiful countryside in a covered waggon or just cruising Lake Bigge in pleasure boat are just a few of the many activities one can enjoy.

The House
The house was designed and built specially for blind and partially sighted guests. It has 24 double rooms and 31 single rooms. All rooms are equipped with shower/toilet and telephone, most of them have a balcony. Family can book a family apartment. Among the communal facilities guests can make full use of is a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, skittle-alley, cafeteria with bar, library, and ham studio. "Haus Valbert" is surrounded by a 35,000 large square metres park-like areal. Guide dogs are welcome.
